18 Half-Page Multi-Part Math Problem Task Cards that will engage your students in practicing a variety of math skills! These Performance Based Tasks are essential in preparing for upcoming, rigorous state tests!
I created these task cards to fill a strong need for performance-based assessment practice problems. Each half-page task card includes a scenario with little information relating to the problems. Each of the subsequent parts (3 on each card) asks a question to be solved using a variety of math skills. Some of the parts rely on the answers to another part and some are independent of each of the other parts.
Digital Access Note: This resource includes 16 out of the 18 cards in a digital format via Google Slides. These were the cards best suited for digital conversion. Enjoy!
Skills required include: ALL operations, Perimeter & Area, Fractions, Geometry, Patterns, Money, Time, Measurement, Conversions, etc.
NOTE: These questions, in most cases, require HIGHER-LEVEL thinking, JUSTIFICATION, MODELING, PICTURES, etc. They are ALL real world! These are NOT necessarily multi-step problems, though some have been included.
These task cards are perfect for test prep and for engaging students in high-level, critical thinking about math!
