Description

This scavenger hunt includes only adding and subtracting multi-step word problems for use early in the year before the students have mastered multiplication and division. This is a fun way for your students to practice multi-step word problems. Students choose any card to start on. They start by scanning the QR code and solving the problem that pops up on their electronic device. Once they have the answer, they record it on the answer sheet. They will need to search the room for another card that has that answer on it. Once they find it they will then scan the next QR code to get the next problem. . It is so much better than a traditional worksheet. The students will have so much fun with the movement and technology that they won't even realize they are doing work! My students have been begging me to make more of these. They are actually excited to do the activity. The 16 cards correlate with 3.OA.8 from the third grade common core math objectives.

This is also available in a non-QR format.
