Description

Students will practice and enhance their ability to solve multi-step word problems with this fun and exciting Bingo Game! Students use the game board to write in their own numbers (answers), then solve the word problems and cross off the answer to create Bingo!

Students can play individually or with a partner for peer teaching and collaboration at its finest. Leave the Bingo cards in a designated area and create a built-in movement break as they complete problems and choose new ones. My students love these games and always ask for more!

My kids were excited about the bingo aspect, but filling out the cards was very time consuming. They also had trouble making sense of the problems because they were unreasonable. For example, "I built 24 snowmen. Each snowman had 13 balls." It didn't do a good job of explaining the use of the balls therefore my 4th graders got a really good laugh. Also, "Kaydince went to Build a Bear with $298." It was hard for my kids to picture taking $298 to Build a Bear.

I love this activity. However, I wish there was an answer key with each individual word problem. It would be easier for students to work together in small group.
