WHAT'S INCLUDED? (PRINT AND DIGITAL)

• Activity: 1: Act It Out

Write the equations and answer in each box.

• Activity 2: Circle the Keywords

Figure out if each problem is multiplication, division, addition, or subtraction (there are multiple steps) by circling the keywords. Then, solve.

• Activity 3: Who's Got the Answer

Students decide which student has the correct answer and circle them.

• Activity 4: Solve the Problem

Students write the two steps involved in solving each equation in the green boxes provided.

HOW TO IMPLEMENT:

There are 11 problems included in each of the 4 games (total of 44 questions).

• Digitally: The first problem is always an example for students so they know what to do. I would recommend completing 5 questions during your lesson together and assigning the other 5 for students to complete independently. Or, assign all 10 after going over the first example slide together. They are provided in Google Slides so you can assign them in Google Classroom.

• Print: Print the task cards out and put them in a math center. Have students record answers on the recording sheet provided. Students can use the self-checking answer key to check their work. You can choose between the color and black and white option.
