Description

Challenge your students’ brains and help them discover their strengths! This interactive Google Slides resource is designed around Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences and gives students a fun, hands-on way to explore how they learn best. Perfect for independent or partner work, these puzzles and challenges encourage problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and reflection.

Students will engage with a variety of activities—each one tailored to a different type of intelligence—and then reflect on how they use those intelligences both in and out of the classroom.

What’s Included:

  • A completely editable Google Slides deck with engaging puzzles and challenges
  • One unique activity for each of Gardner’s multiple intelligences:

    Logic puzzle (Logical/Mathematical)
    Cryptogram (Linguistic)
    “Guess the Picture” game (Naturalistic)
    Click-the-States challenge (Visual-Spatial)
    Music game (Musical)
    Partner drawing challenge (Interpersonal)
    Guided reflection prompts (Intrapersonal)
    Movement-based brain break (Bodily-Kinesthetic, whole-class option)
Answer keys for all applicable materials
  • A bonus slide with links to online games that also align with various intelligences.
  • Reflection questions after each puzzle that encourage students to think about:

Is this one of my strengths?
What other intelligences did I use to solve this challenge?
How do I use this intelligence in my daily life?

Perfect For:

  • Any unit on Gardner's multiple intelligences
  • Brain breaks with purpose
  • Independent or partner work
  • Early finishers
  • Enrichment activities
  • SEL lessons focused on self-awareness
  • Back-to-school “get to know yourself” activities

With these puzzles and reflections, students won’t just practice problem-solving skills—they’ll gain insights into how they learn best. My students LOVE the various challenges.
