Description
Do your students know that there are many different ways to do Long Division, Subtraction with regrouping and other extended operations problems? Use these free posters as a way to introduce your students to these other strategies. Hang them on the wall and/or glue them into you Interactive Math Notebooks to help students refer to them regularly.
These were created especially to help my international students compare and contrast the way their parents learned (and taught them) to solve long division and subtraction with regrouping problems, which were distinctly different from the way a traditional US or UK curriculum teaches these skills. Knowing that both ways are right and okay is so helpful to our students and helps them to increase their mental flexibility.
All four operations, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are included in this set. For more resources for long operations, try these interactive math notebook lessons:
Addition with Regrouping
Subraction with Regrouping
Multiplication with Regrouping
