Description

Teaching multiplication with arrays? Give your students a break from boring worksheets with this colorful array practice. This introduction to multiplication concepts activity comes with both Google Slides and printable task cards. For each card, students count the number of rows and columns and then create a multiplication equation that matches the model.

Promote conceptual multiplication understanding!

Help students understand basic multiplication concepts with colorful arrays. These activities are perfect for struggling students who need extra support! Students will label the rows and columns and then create a multiplication equation that matches the array.

Print and digital!

This is an ideal activity for math centers or small groups. I assign my class the Google Slides or Easel Activity for independent practice while I use the print task cards to help my struggling students in small groups.

Google Slides

This multiplication arrays resource includes an interactive digital file with preformatted text boxes.

Easel Activity

An Easel Activity has been added to give you more flexibility. You get the same great activity without having to have a Google account. Easel Activities are easier for students to use because they can't accidentally delete or resize objects.

Printable task cards

Differentiate by selecting the recording sheets that best meet the needs of your students.
