Description

Put your students’ multiplication skills to the test with this engaging multiplication escape room. Students from grades 3-5 can enjoy this unlock-style game with the different levels of times tables play included. Third grade students will have fun with the basic multiplication facts. Fourth grade students will play using double digit multiplication. 5th grade will have decimal multiplication equations to solve. Four challenges are included to “Escape to the Circus”.

Full directions are given for setting up this game. Simply print, cut apart, and place challenges in envelopes. Students will complete challenges to reveal secret circus-related codes. Once a challenge is complete, each student will collect a ticket that will be saved for the carnival-style games at the end of the escape room. The next challenge will then be given. There are no locks involved. When students solve all four challenges, they “Escape to the Circus”. At the circus, they use their game tickets to play carnival-style games. Easy suggestions are included, but any game could work.

Included in this game are three options for differentiation. There are 73 pages of activities in all. The first option is a basic third grade level that includes basic multiplication facts. Also, there are problems using the associative property to multiply three different basic fact numbers together. The second option includes skills for the average 4th grader. The skills include things like multiplying with powers of ten, multiplying double digits with estimating, and multiplying by two digits. In the last version, 5th grade math skills are included. Those skills are, multiplying decimals by powers of ten, multiplying decimals with estimation, and multiplying decimals.

Both Blackline and full color options are included. Answers are also given for each game and the secret code words. There is also a table of contents, making it easier to find the pages you need.
