Description

Are you at the end of your multiplication unit and looking for a highly engaging review? This resource will get your students up and moving, while reviewing their math skills! This activity is great for upper elementary students.

Skills Reviewed:

  • Repeated Addition
  • Arrays
  • Patterns in Multiplication
  • Multiplication Basic Facts

What's Included:

  • 4 Review Handouts
  • 1 Challenge Handout
  • Teacher Instructions
  • Folder Covers
  • Answer Key
  • Color and BW Printing

This is a great review activity for 3rd grade multiplication skills and should take your students 20-35 minutes, depending on their ability. Students will “visit” four cities in Florida during the race: Burlington, Cincinnati, Pebble Beach, and Chicago.

In each city students will complete a series of math problems and a physical task. Once they complete the math problems and task students will check-in with the teacher to check for accuracy. If they are correct, they may move onto the next country. After all four cities are complete, students complete The Amazing Math Race by taking two (very careful) laps around the class room. This activity is set up to review the concepts, but to also get the kids moving.

Included in the download is both color and B&W printing options and an answer key.

See what teachers are saying about the Amazing Math Race Series:

  • "This was such a fun activity for the kids! Kept them active and engaged in the material. Will definitely use this again in the future."
  • "This was so fun for all of us. The kids were so excited to act out the challenge for each page! Thanks for creating such an engaging product."
  • "My 4th graders LOVED this and begged to do another one!"
