Multiplication riddles are a fun way for students to practice their multiplication facts monthly while having fun celebrating back to school, Johnny Appleseed, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, spring, and the end of the school year! Each month's page has a fun, seasonal riddle for the kids to solve once they solve the multiplication problems. These are great for early finishers, centers, and multiplication practice.
Riddles:
August (Back to School): Why do teachers wear sunglasses?
A: Because the students are so bright!
September (Johnny Appleseed): How do you make an apple turnover?
A: Roll it down a hill!
October (Halloween): How do ghosts wash their hair?
A: They use sham-boo!
November (Thanksgiving): What did the pumpkin say after Thanksgiving?
A: Good-pie everyone!
December (Christmas): Why wouldn't the Christmas tree stand up?
A: It had no legs!
January (New Year's): What is a cow's favorite holiday?
A: Moo-years day!
February(Valentine's Day):What did the stamp say to the envelope on Valentine's Day?
A: I'm stuck on you!
March (St. Patrick's Day): Why do leprechauns like dollar bills more than coins?
A: They are green!
April (Spring): What goes up when the rain falls down?
A: An umbrella!
May (End of school): Why did the candy go to summer school?
A: To become a smartie!
