Multiplication Facts Menu
What do you do if some of your students already know their multiplication facts? You encourage them with the Something Different to Try Multiplication Facts Menu! This menu extends basic learning and retention through creative activities based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, Creative Productive Thinking, and Sandra Kaplan’s Depth and Complexity icons. It allows for differentiation for ALL students through Pace, Process, and Product Choice and can be used as an extension for all students or as an alternate assignment for students who have demonstrated mastery through pretesting. You can use it as a tic-tac-toe board, assign a required number of activities, or allow free choice. It could even be a good activity for upper and lower grade math Buddies.

Thank you for a great resource! It was really helpful!
I'm so glad you gave the Multiplication Facts Menu a try, and and it worked for your kids and you. According to Gardner there are at least 8 or 9 different ways to be smart with learning taking place better in some learning lanes than others. This Something Different to Try lesson hopes to give them all a try. Thank you for your encouraging words. May the success of you and your students be Multiplied.
Great resource for early finishers
Thank you for giving the Multiplication Facts Menu a try. Sometimes we get so busy with all the aspects of teaching that we forget about those little guys who finish fast and just need something different to try. Thanks for thinking of them. I hope you and your students enjoy it.

This is great to extend the higher ability students who have memorised the facts. It allowes them to engage at a deeper level and use some independent thinking skills.
Thanks for such supportive words. Thank you for recognizing and meeting the needs of those higher ability students! They are often left to their own designs. I hope they enjoy and learn from this Multiplication Facts Menu.
