“Loose”multiplication fact flashcards can be messy and become “missing”. These notebook non-flashcards with attached movable parts have much less chance of becoming lost, mixed up, or being an incomplete set.

There are separate directions for each set of flashcards. These are very explicit. They can be posted where the students will see them while putting together their notebooks. Labels on flashcard parts and words such as “glue here”, “write answer”, no glue, “finished tracing will look like this” make the directions even more

clear.
