These NO-PREP guided Google Slides take students through step-by-step, follow-along lesson for multiplication problems with 3-digit by 1-digit numbers. The lessons use clear graphics and video tutorials to teach strategies like: decomposition, modelling, and stacking. This can be posted in Google Classroom and has a Warm Up, Guided Lesson, and Your Turn Questions with a separate Answer Key which includes FULL SOLUTIONS to the problems. I choose to have my students fill their answers in on separate paper at home, take a picture & share, and then I upload the Answer Key after the due date.
What's Included:
- Google Slideshow that takes students through a Step-by-Step lesson on Multiplying 3-digit by 1-digit numbers using the decomposition strategy (also reviews stacking and place value blocks though).
- Lesson Steps are: Warm Up (guided "minds-on" work; Learning (students take action on problem and teachers notes guide them through the solving of it) and Your Turn (problems for students to answer without any teacher prompts)
- Answer Key for students to check their work
- Slideshow includes 3 VIDEO tutorials on how to solve the problem in the "Learning" portion (stacking, decomposition, place value blocks)
- How-To Guide for students included in the slideshow
- How-To Guide for Teachers: tips on posting to google classroom (includes a video tutorial and explains how to "schedule" posts so that you don't have to release the answer key at the same time that the lesson goes out.
