Multiplication Mastery Incentive Chart - Movie Incentive
Share

Description

One of 4th grade's TEKs is that students can recall multiplication facts up to 12x12. At our school, the 3rd grade teachers follow the format that Marilyn Burns sets up for multiplication mastery. The chart that we use goes in the order that is suggested in the Marilyn Burns book.

We wanted to get our 4th graders interested in mastering their facts so we set up a Movie Party to go with their facts that they master. We have the party in January, so how ever much they have mastered then that is what they will get at the party.

The students keep this chart in their Leadership Notebook and put a sticker next to the fact that they master.

This is such a fun way to track progress. Our 4th graders never come to us knowing their multipication facts, so this is our third year using this chart as our incentive.

My students loved this bundle. I called it May Multiplication Movie Incentive. The date for the movie was in May, that way students have been practicing throughout the year for what they were tested on. It is also the time of the year when state testing has ended and students are wanting and needing to do something fun for all their hard work. This was definitely a hit for my 3rd grade students.
