Description
Multiplication Math Facts Sports helps to make practicing/learning the multiplication facts (1-10) more fun by making it part of familiar games. Using just a deck of cards (with J, Q, K taken out) and maybe a math fact chart, students can play basketball, baseball, soccer, and/or football.
Flip over two cards, figure out the product, see what game event that results in, and keep score. It's simple and fun.
Students need a rudimentary understanding of how some of the sports are played. A quick demonstration or example usually will suffice.
Knowing the multiplication facts was the most critical factor I saw in a student's self-esteem and confidence contributing to if they had a positive attitude and belief themselves in math. Help them learn these while making it fun.
