2 Digit (Double Digit) Multiplication Monster story
Captivate your audience this year with a story that will solidify the steps to double digit (2 digit by 2 digit) multiplication. (You'll be excited to see how, by using a story, your students will remember each step without prompting!)
Presentation will tell the story of a tired king who devises an experiment to get his kingdom of monsters to get along with each other. Students will follow along as the monsters multiply (dance together). Once the story completes, students will have the opportunity to grab their whiteboards/paper and transition to numbers and continue with the presentation in a guided manner (15 slides of guided practice provided)
Also included is a worksheet for additional practice (different than presentation examples)
You'll enjoy this creative change of pace when tackling double digit multiplication.
