Description

This product contains a 25 slide PowerPoint and corresponding note taker to teach students multiplication using the distributive property, partial products, and area model. The product starts with allowing students to have a number talk to understand the process of multiplication. It then provides step by step notes and practice with various ways to solve 4 digit by 1 digit and 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication problems.

This product is directly aligned to the following Common Core State Standard:

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NBT.B.5
Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.

Students will love the monster theme which is perfect for October, Halloween time, or simply a fun twist on a PowerPoint lesson.
