Description
Just in time for the school days before Christmas vacation! Fun and educational at the same time! These worksheets can be printed in color or B&W.
Each worksheet takes about 15-30 minutes to complete. The whole packet would take a few days to complete.
Cartoon-like and fun, these worksheets invite children to illustrate the multiplication concepts behind the 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 times tables. They will draw multiple equal groups of ornaments on trees, bows on wreaths, pencils/candy canes in stockings, candles on yule logs, etc.
The "group holders" (Christmas trees, wreaths, stockings, yule logs, etc.)are already made graphics. Each has an example of what is to be drawn as an item of the group. Since my graphics are simple and mostly made up of primary shapes, students who feel they aren't very artistic needn't be intimidated.
The purpose of these worksheets is to represent the math facts in some pictorial way for better concept understanding, and not to promote an art contest. Furthermore, each student's drawing is merely an "add on" to an image already provided in each example. ("group holder")
Each example requires the student to connect the pictorial to the abstract. The student must write the math fact that the pictures represent.
Suitable for grades 2-5, special ed or regular ed. Great for centers and independent work.
