MULTIPLICATION STRATEGIES: basic facts
If you have students with difficulties with rote memorization, you are not alone!
No matter how much they try, no matter how much they practice, they just can’t master basic facts.
By 5th grade, many of these students just give up on math. Every new concept is a failure due to the lack of basic facts.
What can we do? -Give them the strategies needed to find the answer to basic facts!
Includes:
Strategy Poster (color)
Strategy Reference Page (black and white for interactive notebook or desk reference)
Practice pages for each strategy 0-12 (color and black and white)
Teacher Instructions *IMPORTANT: strategies should NOT be taught in numerical order.
Using these strategies, student only need to know tables of 2 and 3, 7 x 7, 8 x 8, and 11 x 11.
