Description
24 Self-Checking Multiplication Task Cards
These cards are meant to provide students a fun opportunity to master the standard multiplication algorithm. Cards include problems up to 4-digit by 2-digit multiplication of whole numbers.
Students scan the QR code with their smart device to check their work. Answers show up as a colorful picture that shows regrouping and two-partial products, so students with errors can determine where they went wrong.
These task cards can be used in many ways:
(1) Play "Scoot"--Place one card on each desk. Students solve a problem and then scoot to the next desk.
(2) Place at a work station.
(3) Use as game cards with a generic game board. Students take turns pulling a card and solving it. If correct, the student rolls a die and moves their marker the number of spaces rolled on the die. The first person to the end wins.
(4) Hole punch the cards and hang on a ring. The students can then bring the cards to their desk for extra practice when they have free time.
(5) Use in tutorials. Watch students as they work, and ask them to explain their steps and justify why they think their answer is reasonable.
Before purchasing, I suggest you download the Preview to try out the QR Codes and see a sample of what the answers will look like.

QR Codes Not Working
I downloaded this as a station for open house night as it would be an easy way for parents and students to check if their answer is correct -however none of the QR codes are working. When you scan a code it says "Sorry this QR Code has exceeded its time limit. If you are the owner of this QR Code consider upgrading your account." I would recommend taking down as a resource if it is not up and running.
The self checking part is great so students hold themselves accountable for their learning.
These were great to use as a scoot around the room for a math review. The kids loved it!
This is the perfect resource with a variety of problems. I used this with my students at the end of our unit.
This was a great resource. THank you very much.
Really enjoyed using this for my summer tutoring kids.
I thought this was going to be a fun activity.....but none of the QR codes work. I unfortunately did not try them out until the day of my lesson. I would suggest either updating the codes or removing this as a free resource. Going to at least use the problems on the cards even though the QR doesn't work.
This was an excellent product that I used with my special ed. class.
