Description

Trimino is a modified version of dominoes, where instead of rectangular pieces, the puzzle consists of triangular ones. This resource contains 60 unique sets of trimino math games on the topic of multiplication of rational numbers:

  • 30 math games in a triangle configuration (9-piece puzzles)
  • 30 math games in a star configuration (12-piece puzzles)
  • Black-and-white versions of all 60 sets (to save ink)
  • An answer key for every puzzle

Usage

Use as part of a lesson, review session, or homework assignment.

Instructions

Print on Letter, Tabloid, A4, or A3 paper. Give each student (or group) one sheet, have them cut out the pieces, shuffle, and then assemble either the star or triangle shape. With 60 different math games you can:

  • reuse the same puzzle with all students across multiple lessons,
  • give each student a different puzzle,
  • assign either identical or varied puzzles to small groups.
