Hello and welcome!
This is a 24 task card interactive activity I created after the students had a more concrete understanding of multiplication, its relation to problem solving and how to use pictorial representations of the facts.
In this activity, students are given a multiplication fact within 12 x 12. They are asked to model the fact using equal groups. Then, they are asked to write a word problem that relates to the fact and their pictorial representation.
This really helped my students understand the concept of multiplication. Also a great resource for those students that struggle with problem solving and understanding what a problem is asking them to do.
