Multiply Decimals by Decimals and Whole Numbers (Standard Algorithm)
Students will practice multiplying decimals by decimals or whole numbers in the standard algorithm.
The template on each slide emphasizes keeping the numbers in the correct place value.
-Student will complete their work on a separate sheet of paper (or dry erase board).
-They will then type their answer into the card one digit at a time in each text box.
-Lastly, they will drag the decimal to the correct place.
Should a student make a mistake, this format allows the student to see exactly where they made the error (multiplication or decimal placement).
Whole numbers through the hundreds place.
Decimals through the hundredths place.
