Many students need help understanding multiplying decimals using models. The models can be confusing to understand, so these models have been decomposed into separate pieces. After students identify the decimal represented by each piece, they can drag the pieces on top of each other to create the final multiplying decimals model. This method has been successful with intervention students who need more support.
