Description

This student self-assessment correlates with the Multiplication and Division of Multi-Digit Numbers Unit. Use this in isolation or as a complete unit package!

This Student Self-Assessment will allow learners to show their understanding of standard 4.NBT.B.5. This has students work through 4 problems with single-digit and double-digit multiplication as well as double-digit and double-digit multiplication problems. Once the assessment has been completed, have students review the answer sheet provided and evaluate whether they exceeded, met, or are working towards the 4 learning targets demonstrated through this self-assessment.

This will allow students to build self-awareness of their areas of growth and strengths and will provide you with awareness of areas of deficit and success to implement reteach or small group interventions as needed.

Focuses on meeting the following learning goal: Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and 2 two-digit numbers using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. (4.NBT.B.5)

4 Learning Targets are:

1. Find the product of single-digit and double-digit numbers using a visual aid for support

2. Create a number sentence and diagram to present the product of a single-digit and double-digit number

3. Use your understanding of place value to find the product of single-digit and double-digit numbers

4. Use place value reasoning and the distributive property of multiplication over addition or subtraction to find the value of the products

Recommend printing the self-assessment rubric double-sided :)

Includes:

-Student self-assessment

-Scoring rubric and reflection sheet

-Answer Key
