Description

This set of editable Algebra 1 Binder Notes provides students with guided notes for multiplying polynomials. The notes are organized by the following type:

  • monomial by polynomial
  • binomial by binomial
  • binomial by trinomial
  • geometry applications

Note: For the binomial x binomial section, I included three methods for solving the same problem (distributive property, FOIL, and the box method). I find it helpful to show all three methods and let students choose which method they prefer. I used the same example through all three so students can see how they relate. Similarly, when multiplying a binomial by trinomial, I included distributive property and the box method.

This download includes a print + go PDF and an editable PPT version. I have also included an option for each of those with "less ink", that does not include the black bar across the header. Download the preview to take a closer look at the page setup and types of questions included.

My students were able to use the worksheets as notes and example to become more independent in determining an accurate solution. The forms were also used to measure IEP goals data.
