Multiplying Polynomials: Flipbook with Notes & Examples & Digital Activity
Share

Description

One resource is a flipbook that can be used during the Polynomial unit for Algebra 1. Each section includes notes and examples.

Topics covered include:

  • Multiplying by a monomial
  • Multiplying a binomial times a binomial using the box method and the double distributive property
  • Multiplying a binomial by a trinomial
  • Some examples include area and volume

Check out the preview for a closer look. All answer keys are provided, as well as directions for printing and folding the flipbook. (Can fit in an interactive notebook if both sides and the bottom are trimmed.)

The second resource is a level up activity that is both self-checking and fun! Students will multiply polynomials while increasing in difficulty through 3 levels to try to beat the computer's score. Each correct answer earns students a random amount of points (different for each student copy). If they beat the given score they will get a message saying they are ready to level up and then can move on to the next level.

There are three levels with five questions each for a total of 15 questions. Level one is multiplying by a monomial. The score to beat for level one is 100. Level two is multiplying a binomial times a binomial and the score to beat is 200. Level three is multiplying a binomial by a trinomial and the score to beat is 300.

This resource is great for differentiation as students can level up at their own pace. The download also includes a recording worksheet and all answer keys.
