In this homework assignment, all students complete 2 basic calculations before they are asked to either set up a reteaching time with the teacher for extra help or to try the skill again on a set of more difficult questions. For proficient students, there is also an optional, "challenge" portion. This homework is great for classes with mixed abilities-- the "can do" challenge can be made mandatory for some students but remain optional for others.

All students must complete the set of review questions at the bottom, providing distributed review of past skills learned.

- leveled practice, asking students to reflect on their understandings and abilities before moving onto the next set of questions.

- opportunities for students to learn to advocate when they need help.
