This matching activity is designed to help students make connections between cylinders and quadric surface equations and their corresponding graphs. Students will receive a set of cards (included that you will need to cut out), and then an answer sheet where they will record their matches and answer a set of reflections questions. The reflection questions are designed to help them recognize that patterns that occur within these types of equations that indicate the type of surface the equation generates.
