Description
Notes on the Music Elements- Texture, Timbre/Tone Color, Duration, Form/Structure, Dynamics, Pitch, Tempo, Silence
Notes with examples if each- also included is basics like staff, measure, and time signatures. I have used this as a review for 6th-12th graders, depending on music knowledge level. A UEQ is a Unit Essential Question, and can be adapted to fit your lesson plan needs.
Originally created in Keynote (Mac), this is converted to PowerPoint so you may need to change some of the build in and build outs. The keynote version is also available.

Great resource, thank you!
The first 4 slides aren't exactly elements of music--as it goes to a listing on slide 5. Very nice, but I definitely skip them when doing an Elements lesson. I hate there wasn't a mood slide. And the silence slide was a little confusing. My students asked, "Was that an element?but it wasn't listed on the elements page." Because they didn't take the notes on that one. However, those are just minor details. I have used this powerpoint and loved the ability to tweak. Thank you so much! I actually like the first four slides best and use those apart from teaching elements!
I'm glad you found it useful. A couple of clarifications. First, silence is the last element on the elements page, so if your students aren't seeing it it may be because you changed the font or size, which may have pushed it off. Secondly, and this may just be me as a purest, but mood isn't an element. Mood is formed by the elements and can be changed by manipulating them. That's why I didn't include it. Being able to make the powerpoint your own is so important in our own classrooms, I like that part of the program too!
Excellent resource for the Music class...
Great resource! I used this with 7-8 graders.
