Have fun while decoding! Use as a whole group or small group activity. Place the mats in a circle. Then put a picture card above the mat. Students start at a spot. The teacher will turn on music when everyone is ready. Students slowly walk around the circle. When the teacher stops the music, students work at the spot they stopped on. Look at the picture, tap it, map it, write it. Play continues until everyone has been to all cards or when the teacher decides time is up!
