Description

This hand out is a time saver for any teacher or school counselor who wants to teach children about writing a 'resume'. This hand out can go home for parents to see, or can be added to your school's elementary guidance folder, which documents your efforts. The second page, has two copies of a word bank, which can be cut in half to save paper. This word bank empowers children to express themselves without the pressures of spelling to allow students to feel accomplished in their skills. 'Sparky' is giving children a thumbs up, reminding them that your 'Sparks' could lead to a career some day, filled with satisfaction and happiness. Best used in a class lesson, the instructor can teach the children about why we have resumes, the importance of focusing on your skills, and of course, to dream about the endless possibilities of career before them. Giving children at least 15 minutes to fill out the 'My First Resume' is recommended.
