This product includes the following:
This puzzle contains 16 rational word problems that can be separated in 4 different categories: Motion (distance, rate, time), Working Together/Jobs, Integers/Numbers or Ratios/Percentages, and Geometry. There are two goals in this puzzle -- place the word problems in correct category AND setting up problem with an equation and solving it correctly. This puzzle really helps students see which type of rational word problems they are struggling with or they are really good at. I would recommend doing at least 1 problem from each category together to help students get started (this will help build some confidence too). To help students keep their work organized (and to help grade easier later), there is a Work Paper sheet provided. To start the puzzle, students will need to number their problems and cut out all the problems and answer pieces. They will then categorize/glue the problem pieces in correct column, work out the problem on their Work Paper, then glue down the answer underneath the problem. This activity will absolutely help students with these difficult problems and help build their perseverance.

Important Note about More Practice (MP) Assignments:
I only do MP for a lesson that I know students need more time to refine their skills on that topic so if a MP is assigned for a particular lesson(s) than it's important for that unit it is in.
