The NOTES part of this product includes the following:
Fill in the blank copy of Guided notes and its key. The notes can be easily printed for students or downloadable for any device.
This lesson includes the following concepts:
- Defining various types of rational word problems which included integers (algebra/geometry), sharing, motion (distance = rate times time), chemistry (percent of solution), and working together.
- There are variety of types of word problem with various difficulty. Several problems are linear based and there are a few problems that are quadratic based.
This product will be downloaded as a ZIP file which includes:
- Blank PDF copy which contain 1 page
- PDF copy of KEY with all blanks and examples filled in (including all detailed work).

The HW WS part of this product includes the following:
Fill in the blank copy of HW WS and its key (with work and answers only). The HW WS can be easily printed for students or downloadable for any device.
This HW WS (Assignment) includes the following types of problems:
- The worksheet/assignment has total of 10 problems.
- All the problems in this assignment range in difficulty and include various types of rational word problems. Such problems include using motion, geometry, integers, working together, percentage, and debt. The problems also include either solving a linear equation or quadratic equation (and checking for extraneous solutions).
This product will be downloaded as a ZIP file which includes:
- Blank PDF copy which contain 1 page
- PDF copy of KEY including all detailed work
- PDF copy of KEY with Answers Only
This lesson is from my NC Math 3 Curriculum (in Unit # 4) but could be also used in Algebra 2.
