After an in-depth district-wide training session on using NGSS/STEM in the classroom, I came up with this template that helps you to plan lessons and units utilizing all the main parts of the NGSS format. I have included an example for you to look at that gives you an example of how to interpret what the Next Generation Science Standards want. STEM is pretty much taken care of if you follow the NGSS format, because engineering practices, science practices, math and technology are imbedded within the NGSS format. Common Core is not specifically addressed on this page, but it is, of course, on the bottom of each NGSS page. Perhaps you could put the common core information on the back of the sheet.
