About the Product

These teacher-facilitated notes will not only solidify students’ mastery of all the related math standards, but will do so in a fun way that makes students feel as though they are in a hybrid class of math and art.

The visual aids and geographic models in Number Notes help students to not only grasp the procedural knowledge, but also to dig deeper, shedding light on conceptual understanding.

After the students are finished filling-in the notes and coloring, notes like these make a great addition to math journal. They also look terrific on bulletin boards - or perhaps even in a gold leaf frame atop the fireplace.

I used this resource as a review for struggling learners. We went over it together as a whole group. Then I pulled small group in order to give further direct instruction for students who were really struggling with the concepts. So far, I have only used the rounding notes, but my students found them to be highly engaging ! They really liked how they were able to color their notes in to reflect their own personality. They are keeping them in their Math binders in order to use as a reference. I can't wait to try them all !
