Description

Learning how to display information in an organized way by using picture graphs and bar graphs is simply more fun when you can simultaneously doodle, letting your creative juices flow. It's also more effective (see why below).

Designed with characters and themes from Numberock's Bar Graphs and Picture Graphs Video, Number Notes connect with students in a way no other product can while helping your students improve concept retention which increases test scores.

============================

COMPONENTS:

1. 3 pages of Number Notes worksheets that give structure to your lesson plan while keeping your students highly engaged as they fill-out their notes, work on practice problems, and show off their mad doodling skillz!

2. The Numberock Video that aligns with the Number Notes. The video that currently aligns to these worksheets are available both as a download within the product as well as linked here in description:
https://numberock.com/lessons/bargraphsandpicturegraphs/

3. Colorful and easy to follow Written Instructions that go over the best practices of how to ( 1 ) use Number Notes to increase engagement, ( 2 ) discuss why Number Notes are so effective, and ( 3 ) explain the concept behind Number Notes in greater detail.

4. Answer Keys: In our answer key, all three pages of Number Notes are completed with solutions colored in to provide a sample of what your students' finished work might look like. A black and white answer key also comes attached. It focuses on the math aspect of the worksheets vs. the art aspect of the activity which is more useful if you main focus is grading the assignment.

About the Product

These teacher-facilitated notes will not only solidify students’ mastery of CCSS 3.MD.3 (Math TEKS 3.8A and 3.8B), but will do so in a fun way that makes students feel as though they are in a hybrid class of math and art.

The visual aids and geographic models in Number Notes help students to not only grasp the procedural knowledge, but also to dig deeper, shedding light on conceptual understanding.

After the students are finished the math and their doodling, notes like these make a great addition to attach to math journals. They also look terrific on bulletin boards - or perhaps even in a gold leaf frame atop the fireplace. Your students will enjoy showing off their finished versions.
