Description

Do you want a quick and easy way to provide scaffolded support to your students who are learning to write their name?  Do your students need materials that will help them feel successful and motivated to persist through multiple trials?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>         Two Stages of Learning         <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

1. Identifying and Sequencing Letters: This editable drag-and-drop PowerPoint activity gives you 24 pages of practice opportunities.   Slides can be used during your virtual classroom with teacher support or by students as independent work.

2. Supported Writing of Name:  Easily provide high-quality worksheets that will help your students learn proper letter formations. Create differentiated printable name practice worksheets using path-trace letters and go-dots.  With the materials provided, you create pencil and paper worksheets that meet the specific skill level and needs of your student.  Choose from 15 slides using capital and lowercase letters of differing sizes.

EDITING:

Teachers or parents can easily use the provided drag-and-drop materials to create one or many name writing activities for both stages of learning.  Developmental progressions are explained so you can create materials to enable your student to move to the next stage of independence.  You can easily create name writing resources and worksheets for all the students in your classroom.

Platform Use: READ BEFORE PURCHASING

There are several ways to use this resource for distance learning.

  1. When using a screen-sharing platform such as ZOOM or THERAPlatform with your students and telehealth clients, the drag-and-drop activities are accessible to your students when you give them control of your screen. Directions are included for use on ZOOM but will work on other platforms if you are allowed to screen share and annotate PowerPoint files.

  2. If you are using a Google Classroom or even if you and your students have a Google email, file sharing the interactive Slides via Google will allow your students to participate during and after your distance learning session.

  3. Students can use a touchscreen, trackpad, or mouse to move interactive elements. Slides might not function on Chromebooks.  If your students are using an iPad, then it is best to share this resource via Google Slides.

  4. When shared in either PowerPoint or Google Slides, this resource is used in the edit mode, not the present mode.
  5. Stage 1 slides can also be printed to make laminated-Velcroed pieces for an additional multisensory activity.
  6. Stage 2 paper and pencil worksheets can be printed. Parents can print at home when you share a file that you have prepared for your student.
