Narrative Writing Scaffold
Share

Description

I created this scaffold for a student who was a multilingual learner. He was having a hard time beginning his narrative story. This worksheet provided him with and outline of the narrative:

- a lead

- exposition (characters, setting, and conflict)

- rising action (conflict gets worse)

- climax (ah-ha! moment)

- falling action/resolution (tension decreases and lesson (theme) learned)

It also included important practices within a narrative story such as:

- dialogue

- transition sentence starters

- feelings of characters

I hope you find this as useful as we did!
