Description

This unit was based on the FOSS solids, liquids, and gasses kit. We used these lessons to start the experience. The students worked in teams to develop an action plan to reduce our waste of natural resources.

The students created a performed a musical, we used the music and art teacher to assist with the production.

The students participated in field experiences to a recycling center, science school to study snow science, and made soda as a gift for their family. The soda was created in science, and a label was designed with alliteration to enforce literacy and technology skills.

We hosted a Sustainability Fair for the families of our school, as well as the community members. We asked individuals and companies to volunteer their time to share their products and ideas to help make our world more sustainable.

Final presentation and examples of all components included.
