This nervous system activity is a great no-prep solution that allows students to make models of neuron structure including dendrites, axons, myelin sheath, and Nodes of Ranvier. Models are highly encouraged by NGSS due to the greater student comprehension and retention of material. This activity links structures and functions while maintaining student interest through hands-on instruction and modeling.
