Description

New Year's Math Goofy Glyph for 3rd grade is an activity students can use to hone their abilities in mathematics while putting together a fun art project that you can showcase on your classroom wall. Whether your students answer the questions right or wrong will dictate the way their glyphs look in this potentially silly activity. They will end up with a New Year's baby girl, boy, or a prehistoric baby! The math problems are designed for children in the 3rd grade and are aligned with the Common Core State Standards for third grade mathematics. This is a great way to ring in the new year!

Math skills covered:

  • multiplication
  • addition and subtraction

At the back of this booklet are templates that your students can use to help design their glyphs; otherwise, they can choose to create their own artwork.

Also at the back of this book is a graph that you can use to demonstrate how the students in your class answered different questions from the glyph.

This is a very detailed glyph. Make sure to check out the preview to see if it is good match for your class.

Check out my Math Goofy Glyph Bundle for 3rd Grade Common Core which includes this goofy glyph and 23 other goofy glyphs and comes with a discount.

All artwork is original and created by myself.

This is adorable! The students loved it and I enjoyed watching them create their goofy glyph! The students wanted to purposely get questions wrong to create the cave baby though! Too funny!
