- New Year's Resolution Banner - This banner is perfect to hang up around your classroom. Students can choose one thing they'd like to learn or do better in the new year.
- Countdown Craft - Watch the ball drop on Youtube and do the countdown to New Year's! I like to give each student a noise maker to blow after the countdown. Yes, it's loud, but they have SO much fun and it's only for a minute. Then we practice counting down from 10 to 1 with this craft.

My students love creating posters about themselves. They enjoy making their own choices, and this activity gives them a voice. It also helps them improve their coloring and cutting skills and following directions.
