Supports the Common Core State Reading Standards: Presentation of Knowledge and Ideas.

Learner Objective: The learner will describe areas of interest, people, places, things, and events with prompting and support. Students will convey ideas with drawings or other visual displays, and a spoken description of the event, clearly stating thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Educational Value: Students will understand that events are stories
about things that took place. They cover a wide range of subjects that connects to al areas of the curriculum. The telling of a story is more interesting when details are embellished with descriptive terms and pictures.

Application: Students will understand that details are needed to describe an event.
