We use numbers on a daily basis in almost all aspects of our lives. Think about it! We shop, cook, travel and work with numbers; therefore, numbers can be incorporated into every activity that we do. Newspapers offers students the opportunity to use math and apply it to real-world applications. In addition, newspaper can be adaptable to all grade levels and interests.

By incorporating newspapers into the math curriculum, the students are allowed to take an active role in their own learning.

These activities are great reinforcement tools as a homework assignment or in class activity.
