Need no-prep activity ideas for Zoom meetings? Look no further!
Included in this resource are 5 activities you can do with your whole class on Zoom for distance learning! Each activity is made to engage EVERY student! Some activities are educational and some are for team bonding. These activities work for ANY grade level!
Worried you are not tech-savvy enough to use these activities? There is a teacher tips page to assist you in using the tools Zoom has to offer. Plus, each game has tips and set-up directions! Guiding questions help to guide your class's discussion!
Note: I have never used Google Meets, but if it has a screen share option and a chat, I am sure this would work for Google Meets as well. :)
The activities included are as follows:
- Hang Man - Interactive features for a digital game of hang man! You choose the words/phrases you use! Great to practice spelling words.
- Scavenger Hunt - This activity is a great opportunity for students to share items that they love. All students find an object that fits the description given for each round.
- Where in the World is Waldo? - This activity introduces students to places around the world! You will show a picture of Waldo and students will have to guess his country/location. Then, I provide a page of fun facts for each place!
- What's For Lunch? - Students can bring a lunch, breakfast or snack to join Zoom! This gives a great opportunity to celebrate the differences in one another's cultures. Guided questions and interactive graphic organizer included.
- Scrambled Eggs - You will show a screen of jumbled letters! In the chat on Zoom, students will make words using only those letters. Each round has a mystery word that uses all letters!
