▶ Anchor Chart — Describes each text structure with clue words to look for. Recreate on chart paper if needed. A blank version is also included for student notebooks.
📝 PRACTICE
▶ 11 Student Practice Activities — TWO passages and TWO activities per text structure. Students fill in a graphic organizer, identify clue words, and explain the author's purpose. (3 passages for Chronological/Sequence)
▶ 6 Paired Passage Activities — Compare text structures on the SAME TOPIC! Each page features a passage about "bullying" and asks students to identify the text structure, then compare it to a different "bullying" passage. (One passage per text structure)
▶ Mixed Review Activity/Game — 15 passage cards + an organizer chart. Students identify each text structure and provide evidence. Perfect as an end-of-unit review! Use with partners, small groups, independently, or as a whole-class game.
