Description

Once your students have practiced measuring with small items such as paper clips or unifix cubes, they’re ready to try their hand at using various kinds of rulers. Have fun using these nonstandard paw-print rulers to learn how to measure the adorable dogs on these task cards. Your students will need to position the ruler and count the paw prints accurately—a developmental first step toward using standard rulers.

I use these cards with Kindergarteners and 1st graders for practice and review.

My kids love the dogs -- so fun!

Print, laminate, and use for years.
