This bundle includes a 28 slide Power Point, a matching quiz, 2 word searches, and a cross word puzzle. The Power Point covers key concepts for the elements and principals of design including: Shape (Geometric / Organic), Space (Positive / Negative) and Balance (Symmetrical / Asymmetrical/ Radial). It has one slide that lists supplies required to create the step by step art lesson allowing students to explore the concepts discussed for themselves. The Power Point also has 6 slides that serve as a review of concepts, a teachers grading rubric, a student self-evaluation, and art standards covered. The Quiz and puzzle also come with answer keys. This lesson has been used in my classroom with 3rd - 5th grade successfully but can be adapted to higher grade levels easily. Students imagination can take this from a introductory project to a more advanced project. It can also be used for homeschooling, a sub lesson, or a end of the year filler lesson.
