This is a model for the students, to show them various ways to annotate a text. There are two models here. One is probably what the typical student might do; and one is what an exceptional student might do. Either way, it is always good to provide the students with a visual of your expectations. Trust me, you will be much more pleased when it comes time to look them over :)

Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Another great visual for teaching annotating. It really helps the students see what annotating is about when there is a good example. And how lovely that I didn't have to crank out a sample from my own tired head!! Thank you!!

You're welcome :)
I used this resource to help introduce annotating a text. Most of my kids learn best visually and this handout is a great tool for showing students how a "good" annotated document should look. Very helpful and a great timesaver!
Thanks so much for the feedback!
